This spreadsheet contains all of the new data I have been able to acquire so far. Although there are 4 columns of amp readings, there are only 2 days shown here. One of the significant changes in this spreadsheet from the old production display is that there are now two readings at a time for each day. The left numbers, 'Panels,' represent the current from the panels to the controller/booster. The second columns, to the left of the first, ('Boost,') are for the current to the boat after the boost.

Over on the right there are two pairs of columns similar to the ones in old production but duplicated and using 'Total' / 4 to compute 'Per Panel' since there are now 4 panels. The column between these 2 pairs is the 'Boost Average' / 'Panel Average' - 1 to compute the percentage boost. Note that sometimes the system is inefficient, requiring more power to run the controller/booster than is actually returned. This can be irksome, but it only happens when the overall flow is very low, and is therefore no significant loss.

We get 11 hours of usable light per day now, up from the 10.5 we got before. We have been averaging 6.9% instead of the expected 10% boost, but have been having very clear days. The overall result of this is that we have actually been getting production fairly similar to the predictions. This is surprising to me, as the production lines graph indicates less than the expected efficiency. Nonetheless, it is good to be getting around 160 amp-hours per day. This is well above the 127.6 amp-hours a day indicated by the consumption data, meaning we should be adding to the batteries. A good thing, and it is nice to have 30 amp-hours leeway.

Although I only have 2 days shown here, I certainly intend to take more readings. The important thing is getting readings in many different conditions. I intend to take a large sample, with a special effort made to acquire data on production in each different weather condition I can find.
